poor value for money, second week on the trot, freshly cooked fish, small portions for the price and luke warm chips battered sausage. Poor quality and experiencestaff spending all time chatting about other things, not what a visitor expects

I was served something described as cod but I am sure it wasn't. It was very oily and gave me indigestion.

Ordered 2 fish, chips and curry sauces, oh and 2 cans of drink, the girl asked us if we wanted salt and vinegar, which we did, she put that much salt on our meal it was inedible, the batter on the fish was greasy and very thick, the smallest portion of fish inside, on the plus side the curry sauce was lovely. Very disappointed as it's not a cheap meal and this was our favourite fish and chip shop!! 😔🤮

Really enjoy the fish and chips from here. They're not really greasy like you find at some chip shops and the batter on the fish is lovely and crispy. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait but I think it's worth it. Having the car park right across the road is also really convenient.

Had a bag of chips, they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, not dry or soggy.

Fish and Chips. What more do you need to know? Spot on. Chips evenly cut and nicely cooked, fish nicely battered and tasty, lashings of salt and vinegar. Tough to beat.

Ordered cheesy chips and they didn’t put cheese on them

Nice chips but the 3inch greasy batter on the plaice was a Bush tucker trail within itself

Slowest service ever! I always phone and prebook and usually only have to wait 5/10mins. Today I ordered by phone at 7:50pm, arrived by 8:10 and was still waiting at 8:30pmIt was empty in store also, will rethink next time 😔

Fantastic place to eat

The food is always nice and good quality but unfortunately I've had the wrong order twice in a row now, even though I've clearly asked for something else. Other than that, they are really good will definitely go there again in the future

Ive known this chippy for about 20 years and its always been a reliably good place. Theres a section you can eat in during the day and the service is quick and efficient. Its had a fee refurbs and looks great now. Defo recommend for a typical chippy dinner

Ordered double sausage and chips with curry sauce along with a single sausage and chips, took them 4 attempts for them to get the order right, and was made to wait half an hour with a dozen customers which came and went. I would not recommend this chip shop, so many better ones in truro

Food was very nice freshly cooked only 4 stars because the fish portion was quite small considering it was far from cheap a childs fish from my local fish and chip shop is larger.

Great chips, fast service, friendly.

Very slow and unorganised. Chips are not cooked. More peas on the outside of the pot than inside. Fish was ok. When I ordered I was the only person in the place; Haddock and chips and cod and chips. Not hard to mess up. Will not be returning.

Great fish and chips, the only problem I have, is that when I get them home, I never end up with batter on my fish, because it's wrapped it in paper and the batter sticks to the paper with the remainder sticking to the chips. The answer could you not place another polystyrene tray over the fish, before wrapping in paper, so that it does not stick. Threw my fish away tonight because of it. Chips always nice thou.

Nice fish and chips but the 3 stars are because they’re using single use plastics and styrofoam. Putting profit against environmental ethics.

We have been using Walkers in Bridge Street Truro for many years, and we have always been very satisfied With the service and food, but this evening, 18-07-20 we were very dissatisfied with our choice of meal of cod bites and chips😒 the batter was very tough and it seemed like it was rewarded or received from lunch time, and the chips were very pale and rubbery, not the standard we usual expect from a well respected establishment for many years, l am sorry, but we may not return, as l still taste them repeating on me, as we live 8 miles from Truro, we couldn’t return and complain, we ate them on our way home, not after we got home. 😒. *re-warmed or re-fried....

Tiny portions, our meal.was expensive considering how little we had. Fish batter was soggy and greasy though the fish inside was nice. At home me and kids share a portion of chips, here the portion was miniature on a little tray, I wouldn't go here again

The chips were delicious. Bit over priced and a new member of staff meant a bit of a wait, but those chips! Mmmmmmm

Best Fish and Chips in Truro, to eat in or to have at home. Whenever i come back from treatment at the hospital in Liverpool we always stop here for something to eat and a decent cup of tea. Dont ever close. Happy and prosperous new year to all!

Visited with family. Not a very clean environment. No taste in foo I couldn't even find a food hygiene rating online. Left feeling very poorly.

Great value great taste.

I went there today and sassuage and chips the chips are dry and undercooked and the sassauges were over cooked and batter had gone all dry. I also ordered cod bites they were greasy and could not taste the fish as it was swimming in grease. I will be not going here again will find another place to eat in truro as the here has really gone done. This use to be really good restaurant/ takeaway outlet but ever since they have got new staff the food is rubbish. So therefore I will be finding another place to eat.

Poor service, rude women behind till. Messed up orders.. Fish was so small finished in two mouthfullS. Not even a child's portions.. Chips were greasy and I left half a portion althought I was starving... Not. Sure what take aways like. But don't eat in..
